Industry Group – NSIG (North of Scotland Industry Group)

From its inception, the North Scotland Industries Group (NSIG) has firmly held that there is strength in numbers. By uniting renewable energy with the disparate elements of the Highlands and Islands economy, NSIG acts as a conduit to promote and stimulate business for the North of Scotland.

Underpinning its work as an organisation are the expertise and capabilities of its members.

Explains NSIG, “By capitalising on the strengths of its members, encouraging business diversification based on innovation and demonstrating the North of Scotland as a world class resource for business excellence, NSIG is determined to make a difference by assisting its members in sustaining a competitive edge both locally and within the global market.”

Like so many organisations, NSIG is clearly of the opinion that its greatest asset is its people, the member companies. The membership is drawn from all over the North of Scotland, from the Highlands and Islands as well as the east coast and Aberdeen.

Attracting companies from a wide-ranging geographic area and sector base are NSIG’s almost unique communications and networking possibilities. As an interlinked business medium, NSIG offers renewable energy companies valuable access to supply chain companies as well as potential trading partners and collaborators on a local, national and global scale.

By having all the pieces of the jigsaw conveniently aggregated, NSIG is a crucial link between companies, organisations and governments. As well as being a hub for business opportunities, NSIG also represents members to public bodies and pulls into focus the need for sustainable economic development of the north of Scotland and its member companies.
