Renewable Energy Company Profile - Isleburn MacKay and Macleod

Having built up a formidable wealth of experience in the oil and gas industry -  where they gained substantial market share for engineering services – Isleburn Mackay and Macleod are now steadily moving into the renewable energy market.

Knowledge built up with subsea installations, platform construction yards, pipeline fabrication bases and mobile drilling rigs is now being utilised to give Isleburn Mackay and Macleod a foothold in wind power.

Significant investment in plant and machinery has also enabled the company to fully cater for the specialised nature of renewable energy fabrication contracts. This positive and bold step has let Isleburn compete in this emerging market and fully exploit the potential of experience and tangible assets, a workforce numbering over 200, a deep water load out capability and four purpose-built facilities at Evanton, Nigg, Invergordon and Deephaven.

A flagship contract for Isleburn has been the fabrication of monopiles and platforms for the Scroby Sands project, the UK's second large scale offshore wind farm with 30 turbines.

Isleburn Mackay and Macleod, one of the largest mechanical and electrical engineering companies serving the marine, manufacturing and energy industries in the Highlands and Islands, provide:

  • Large scale fabrication
