West Coast Energy Ltd opens Inverness office
15 June 2007

West Coast Energy, a leading environmental and project management consultancy has opened an office in Inverness to service its growing list of clients and projects in the Highlands and Islands.

The company, which specialises in renewable energy projects, has already been instrumental in the development of a number of large scale wind farms in the area, most notably Kilbraur near Golspie, Millennium near Fort Augustus, Ben Aketil on Skye and Boyndie in Moray, as well as working on community energy projects in Assynt, Barra, South Uist, Lewis and Coigach.

West Coast Energy (WCE) will utilise their new base to service a growing and diversifying portfolio of projects. The office will be managed by Black Isle resident Fraser Mackenzie and will initially have five members of staff representing the main disciplines within the company including ecology, ornithology and project management.

Simon Tribe, WCE’s Consultancy Director in Scotland, stated: “It’s a natural progression for WCE to open an office in Inverness. It’s a dynamic fast growing city and WCE is keen to capitalise on the opportunities this brings, as well as providing a responsive, localised service for our clients.”
