Planning application submitted for Western Isles wave project

A new wave power station on the Isle of Lewis, one of the first in the world, moves a step closer today (23 April 08) as npower renewables submits a planning application for the ground-breaking scheme.

SNH publish guidelines on small scale wind projects

Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) has today (Wednesday 02 April ) published new its new guidelines on small scale wind energy projects which do not require an environmental impact assessment (EIA). Its natural heritage assessment covers developments which include a maximum of three wind turbines.
